The 2019 Man Calendar

Still on indefinite hiatus around these parts, but I had to pop in to share ...

The 2019 Man Calendar: Celebrate the Arts

The 2019 Man Calendar:

Mr. January: Taika Waititi
Mr. February: Tom Hiddleston
Mr. March: Ryan Reynolds
Mr. April: Oscar Isaac
Mr. May: Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson
Mr. June: Chris Evans
Mr. July: Chris Pine
Mr. August: Chris Hemsworth
Mr. September: Idris Elba
Mr. October: Dan Stevens
Mr. November: Domhnall Gleeson
Mr. December: Jake Gyllenhaal

2019 marks a decade and a half1 that I've been putting together this project. This year's loose theme started with the hopes of finding all of the gents reading and/or holding a book, but expanded when I (sadly) couldn't. Every photo this year does have some sort of "art" theme to it, however, be it reading, writing, music, photography, "acting," etc.

As a gift to you, here's the whole year in a ZIP file that you can download for your own personal use. (And here's a ZIP of the desktop versions, too.)

If you want a physical version of the calendar, here's what I do: Print each month on white cardstock, then trim the sheets to 6"x9". (The files are 150 dpi, which means they'll look larger than 6"x9" when you open them, but they should print fine.) I then punch a hole in the top and hang them from a jump ring. I keep mine in my cubicle at work.

What do you think of this year's calendar? Thanks for all of the ideas you offered up via Instagram! Although I can't include all of the suggestions (and get to make the ultimate decisions based on personal preference, natch), the research portion of this project is definitely the best part. (For anyone who's curious, there is one new gentlemen included for 2019—Mister November.)

Wishing you a happy 2019—full of eye candy and enjoyment of the arts!
